Linking your Salesforce Objects to parents folders
So now that Cloudfind has scanned all your folders and files, it needs to know how to correlate that information with the Accounts and Opportunities in your Salesforce org.

5.1 Linking the Salesforce Accounts Object to your Accounts folder
1. In the Cloudfind Admin Panel, click on Object to Folder Links.
This will bring up the Object-to-Folder Links configuration menu This is where you will link your Google Drive (or other cloud storage) folder to the Accounts object in Salesforce:
2. Against the Account Object entry, click Edit.
In order to show you all the relevant files related to an Account directly inside Salesforce, Cloudfind needs to know which Google Drive folder contains Account-related files (such as contracts, meeting notes, presentations or other information).
- This is usually a company-wide folder, shared with everyone who might need access to the files.
- If you choose a folder that is not shared with anyone, other Cloudfind users will be able to see the filenames but they will not be able to access the files.
As an example, here is a generic Google Drive folder structure that we will also use for the purpose of this install guide.
There are two important criteria that need to be met:
- All the files pertaining to Salesforce accounts need to be within the same folder tree (they can be in sub-folders within this tree)
- Account folder names inside Google Drive need to match the Salesforce Account names.
Example: A Salesforce account named ‘ACME USA’ should have a matching Google Drive folder named ‘ACME USA’ (names are not case sensitive)
Now let’s go back to the Cloudfind panel inside Salesforce, and select the right folder.
3. Enter the folder where you store your files related to your Salesforce Accounts and hit Select…
4. ..and now click Save.
5.2 Linking the Salesforce Opportunities Object to your Opportunities folder
Under Cloudfind Admin go Object to Folder Links.
Click on Edit under Opportunity.
Now all that’s left to do is confirm that we can see our cloud files and tags from a Salesforce tab!
5.3 Checking your setup
1. From the Salesforce main screen, select the Accounts or Opportunities tab.
2. Scroll down to the Cloudfind frame and check that you see a layout showing tabs, tags and files similar to this one:
